Gender Equity in Day Schools Network Summer Intensive Learning Cohort July 17 -19

Gender Equity in Day Schools Network Summer Intensive Learning Cohort July 17 -19

The Jewish Education Project and The Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance, in collaboration with The William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education, are pleased to convene a second cohort of the Gender Equity in Day Schools Network. This summer intensive, titled “Spheres of Control and Spheres of Influence,” will bring together educators who are motivated to learn more about gender equity, make change in their classrooms, and share their learning with colleagues.

Expert facilitators will share current research on gender equity and the messages that our classroom learners internalize. Facilitators will share adaptable strategies for creating/refining instructional practice with a gender equity lens, and practical approaches to pedagogy that empower learners.

Participants will be encouraged to share their learning with the larger community through op-eds, social media, and/or classroom lessons/curricular materials on gender equity. Follow-up small group sessions to help participants apply their learning will take place in August and Fall 2023.

The program is free, but registration is required. Click here for details and registration.
