Following the JOFA Conference, joins us for a Women's Leadership Initiative post-conference Convention. The convention will feature a day of skill-building workshops and networking for Orthodox Women Clergy, Educators, Communal Workers and Lay Leaders. This is a unique opportunity to meet and network with colleagues and to learn from expert presenters.

By Women, For Women: How To Create More Roles for Women
This session will be a round-table discussion led by a lay-leader, philanthropist, and female leader, on how to navigate the process of shifting women from interns or part-time positions to full time positions in communities and shuls.
Women Who Work Together – Navigating Clergy and Rebbetzin Relationships
Featuring a discussion between Yoatzot, Maharats, Rabbas and Rebbetzins and how to navigate the relationships between various female leadership roles in shuls and communities.
Women in Educational Leadership Roles: From Principles to Principals
A discussion addressing how women can advance to roles of principal, dean, and head of school, and the joys and challenges of educational leadership at the top.
Getting a Seat At The Table: Obstacles in Women Serving as Lay Leaders
This session will be split into two groups. One group will address how to change bylaws to allow for women to serve on a board or as president, and common challenges in reconciling bylaws. The other group session will focus on being able to align values with social realities and norms in individual communities. In other words, addressing the social challenges to ensure that women can serve in lay leadership capacities.
Peer Mentor Groups
Participants will be matched with other women to create mentor groups. Each group will meet monthly, by video conference or in person. Group members will then be able to turn to each other to share challenges and brainstorm with their supportive peers.
